The move from blogger to wordpress is not a simple one.
There is a major learning curve and anyone telling you different is not being very honest.
One of the things that I found frustrating was when I went to create my first post on my first wordpress blog. It is NOT user friendly. I was typing away and I wanted to change the font or bold a word, underline or make my font bigger. There were no tools to do such a thing. I would think that would be a default part of any sort of editing but I would be wrong.
So there I was ready to put up my first post and I had to go on a quest to figure out how to get this fixed.
I tried a few things before finding what I was hoping for. First I customized a couple of my headings in “typography” which you can find under appearance. This is nice but I wanted something like a google doc that I could just change the fonts as I went.
I found the plugin, Fonts by Brad Dalton. It’s free unless you want to upgrade to adding your own fonts. I’m good so far with the 15 or so fonts that come with the plugin. I’m sure there are other font plugins. This is just the first one I found that worked for me.
When I first installed it, I couldn’t see the drop down menus. Then I found the toggle button and presto! There they were!
How bout you? What do you use for your fonts?
